Job Summary
Responsible for leading a team of Software Development Engineers in the planning and designing of software and web applications. Manages projects from design to testing, including new programs, enhancements and modifications. Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to conduct testing. Has overall responsibility for developing/administering performance standards for organizational unit. Manages team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies and assists in the development and meeting of departmental budget.

The Emerging Experiences and Channel Operations team, led by BJ Daisey, and part of the Reliability Experiences and Global Product Operations organization, responsible for developing and owning the programs that allow us to deliver on our dedication to providing the best, most reliable network, product, and service experiences, as well as a consistent standard of excellence, across our customer base, inclusive of those from Sky and our syndication partners. This team also develops solutions that allow us to grow market share in outstanding channels, including multi-dwelling units, retail, and higher education campus environments.

Multifamily team in Emerging Experiences and Channel Operations (EECO) under P&T focuses on serving the customers living in multifamily buildings. We build the products to improve the experience for property managers and property owners to enable our Wi-Fi ready and Managed Wi-Fi product experience for multifamily subscribers.
In this role, you will directly manage 5-10 people ranging in experience, including full-time-employees and contractors. You will collaborate with cross functional teams and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements. The ideal candidate can articulate what s/he has learned from past management and other leadership experiences and how their values have shaped the growth of a team. Core Responsibilities
Interfaces with architects, development team members and stakeholders including product owners, operations and program management.
Provide guidance to engineering teams and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements.
Serves as primary point of contact and liaison between engineering and other business and technology stakeholders.
Embrace & embody agile culture by spearheading in all steps of agile development including sprint planning, grooming and retros. Backlog grooming, breaking Epics into User Stories and sizing exercises.
Lead the triages for prod support with team and involve stakeholders as needed.
Interface with program management for reporting progress on quarterly commitments.
Participate in Quarterly planning, understand scope of epics and set expectations.
Solutions review, PR reviews with team and implement the strong engineering processes for team.
Create and maintain quarterly roadmaps for product delivery and define scope to individual sprints.
Experience in end-to-end solution design and interfacing with RESTful APIs and RESTful Web Services.
Organize software update process for existing applications and coordinates the roll-out of software releases.
Perform people leader responsibilities, Goal Setting and develop career growth plan for software engineers.
Required Qualifications
2+ years managing software engineers or acting as technical leader of the team
Knowledge of Agile Software Development Life Cycle
Knowledge of Continuous Integration and deployment tools
Experience with REST services, Spring-boot, web development and AWS
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for code quality that follows best practice
5-7 years of relevant work experience
