Job Description

What You Will Be Doing

  • Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Analysis to determine integration needs.

  • Acts as a critical member of a team that owns the core data systems and services that handle all our incoming ad requests for audience targeting business.

  • Responsible for architecting, designing, and building audience targeting services within the advertising delivery system, supporting high concurrency, high availability, and low latency scalable and optimized enterprise-level online serving systems.

  • Oversees the documentation of all development activities.

  • Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, process design, and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences.

  • Assists with technical leadership/architects throughout the design process and assists in guidance regarding practices, procedures, to the broader technical vision.

  • Continually works on improving the codebase and has active participation and oversight in all aspects of the team, including agile ceremonies to support rapid business growth.

  • Advocating for improvements to data quality, security, and performance.   

  • Work with and mentor junior and Senior Software Development Engineers.

  • Working with our SRE teams to properly manage and scale the architecture in a cost-efficient way.

  • Experience working with streaming systems such as Kafka or Kinesis. This team owns the scala application built on top of Kakfa .

  • Grounded understanding of SQL and deeper understanding of at least one commonly used DB. We use Snowflake heavily as a datastore.

  • Evolve data model and data schema based on business and engineering needs focusing on DRY principles and an easy of maintainability .

  • Develop tools supporting self-service data pipeline management (ETL) . Team uses airflow for the scheduling of tasks.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a similar field of study .

  • Extensive Golang experience is require d , 5+ years of hands-on coding with G olang .

  • 6 + years of hands-on work in the field of software development.

  • 3+ years of experience with data applications and tools (Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, EMR, Presto, Datadog, DBT, etc.) .

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services like EKS,S3, EMR, Glue, EC2, ECS, IAM, Lambda, CodeBuild , Athena, Redis, ElasticSearch , RDS,Aurora , Airflow .

  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or AWS CodeBuild , Terraform, etc.

  • Multi-process, multi-threaded, and real-time ad serving experience is prefered .

  • Familiar with Linux/Unix, with a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design.

  • Familiar with distributed architectures, common middleware such as caching, message queues, Nginx, and big data processing technologies. Experience in designing and developing large-scale online services is preferred.

  • Preference for audience targeting or ad serving experience.

  • You can work with the command line.

  • Must be versatile and an inquisitive problem solver with excellent communication and writing skills.

  • Strong skills in SQL and proven experience working with at least one of the major database platforms.

  • Extra points if you have an AWS certification.

Salary:

National Pay Range: $112,151.21 USD-$262,854.41 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
