Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) has an outstanding opportunity for a Lead Inventory Coordinator to join the Materials Managment team and work alongside some of the best medical providers in Philadelphia.

The Lead Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining daily storeroom par levels, ordering replenishment stock, maintaining inventory accuracy and assuring confirmation of orders.

Position Description:

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Places daily storeroom orders

• Assures confirmation of orders

• Manages all backorders with direct and third parties

• Maintains all PAR levels

• Performs daily cycle counts and confirms inventory accuracy

• Assures stock is rotated and reviews product expiration dates

• Reviews product deliveries verifying delivery, identifies discrepancies including review and clean-up of INR

• Arranges for return of discrepant items

• Receives and reviews email receipts as needed

• Maintains and organizes a clean clutter free work environment per department policy

• Develops and maintains accurate inventory records to include dates and product usage

• Answers phone and field messages in a timely manner

• Fills and distributes requisitions and purchase receipts from departments according to established schedules or after receiving telephone /pager requests

• Participates in product evaluation / in-service training

• Maintains continuity of services in emergency situations (may be required to continue staffing during disaster codes or other emergencies)

• Establishes and maintains a professional rapport with both internal and external customers

• IV Solution Management to include: o Making sue all IV solutions are secured and locked in all areas of the hospital

• Delivers securely medications to patient care areas in a manner that protects the safety and integrity of the medications

• Makes contact with various customers to ensure the adequacy of service provided, responds and resolves problems and complaints

• Manages backorder process communicating to all parties the status of any items on backorder and works with other Penn Medicine entities to secure product

• Properly disposes of all cardboard and packaging materials

• Charges out products and processes returns

• Manages labeling process throughout hospital

• Analyze hospital wide storerooms to reduce waste and unnecessary items

• Update leadership on a weekly basis of any outstanding issues Accountabilities

• Train new hires and existing staff on best practices of Lawson MMIS system, workflows and hospital layout

• Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures

• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Minimum Requirements:

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

5+ years Materials Management Experience

Essential Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to read, write and perform advanced mathematical calculation

Computer skills
