Marketplace PHL, LLC Housekeeping Supervisor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I. TITLE: Housekeeping Supervisor

 

II. DEPARTMENT: Operations

 

III. REPORTS TO: Assistant Operations Manager

 

IV. JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Supervise the operation of the airport's concessions housekeeping program.

· Maintain all areas of responsibility at a very high level, in a timely, efficient and smooth manner.

· Monitor merchant operations for compliance with relevant, rules, regulations and operating requirements.

· Supervise Housekeeping regarding operations-related activities.

· Assist with training programs and safety programs.

· Assist in Risk Management initiatives.

 

V. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· At least three years of experience in facility operations with personnel supervision of at least 10 people is necessary.

· Some Knowledge of housekeeping and floor care standards and practice preferred.

· Valid driver's license, clean driver's record and personal transportation is preferred

· Basic Microsoft computer programs skills needed

 

VI. SPECIAL SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS:

· Good interpersonal and personnel management skills.

· Good organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to motivate, train and communicate information to others.

· Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities, make good decisions quickly and be flexible.

· Willingness to work a varying schedule is essential, especially nights, weekends, holidays and inclement weather.

 

VII. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

A. Personnel

· Assist in training and supervising all departmental personnel.

· Ensure adequate staffing at all times to execute the program at a very high level.

· Communicate all information relevant to performance, training, and safety.

B. Program

· Assist in managing the inventory of departmental supplies.

· Ensure that sufficient supplies, necessary tools and operating equipment are available at all times.

· Assist in executing the maintenance management program.

· Assist Marketing and Specialty Leasing with operational needs

· Execute special assignments as may be given from time to time.

C. Risk Management

· Facilitate the work of the Risk Management Committee.

· Report all safety hazards in accordance to established procedures

· Ensure that all personnel perform required duties in compliance with safety standards.

· Ensure that all Worker's Compensation, General Liability and other relevant incidents are properly reported.

D. Merchant Relations

· Maintain effective relationships with employees, management staff, merchants and contractors.

· Respond to retail and food & beverage merchant operational issues, problems and requests.
