Title: Concierge

Supervisor: Concierge Supervisor

Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview:

The concierge serves as the resident’s liaison for apartment community services. Assists the residents regardless of whether inquiries concern apartment community or off-premise attractions, facilities, services, or activities. Also knows how to provide concise and accurate directions. Makes reservations and obtains tickets for, the theatre, or special events.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develops a strong knowledge of the community’s facilities and services surrounding it.

  • Provides guest with information about attractions, facilities, services, and activities in or outside the property.

  • Makes resident reservations for forms of transportation when requested.

  • Makes guest reservations for the theatre and other forms of entertainment when requested. Obtains necessary tickets and provides directions to facilities.

  • Organizes special functions as directed by management.

  • Coordinates resident requests for special services or equipment with the appropriate department.

  • Contacts residents periodically to ascertain any special needs.

  • Handles resident complaints and solve problems to the degree possible.

  • Assist Concierge Supervisor with training as needed.

  • Ensure customer needs are met: provide directions; suggestions for restaurants.

  • Greet residents in a friendly and courteous manner.

  • Coordinate special events or special projects as assigned.

  • Provide information on the geographical area. Suggest site-seeing locations and arrange tours.

  • All other duties as assigned by Concierge Supervisor and or Community Manager.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree preferred

  • At least 2 years of experience in the position or equivalent work experience in Concierge Services.

  • Minimum of two years sales experience.

Work Environment: Typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected
