Duties & Responsibilities The Community Outreach Specialist provides community outreach to TANF recipients at various stages of engagement with the EARN program and invite EARN customers to the appropriate center in partnership with the CAO. Collaborate with the Community Engagement and Outreach Team on referrals to the four EARN programs and identify those that need a home visit. Complete outreach phone calls to EARN referrals and document outcomes, including completing case notes in Client Track. Research, develop, and execute effective outreach strategies for targeted participants. Compile and reconcile data, which supports other departments in their outreach efforts and maintain databases that reflect outreach efforts.

Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required.  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, education, human resources, liberal arts or related area is preferred. Experience working with the targeted population and/or customer service.  2 years relevant work experience.  Must have the ability to efficiently manage a large participant caseload (Active and Follow-up) in a fast-paced environment.  Must be comfortable with home visits and complying with mandated reporting. Must have an appropriate and valid state driver's license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

About Our Workforce Programs: Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers.  Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities.  We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop, convene, or implement industry or sector partnerships.
