job summary:

The postdoctoral researcher (one year term, may extend) is a key member of the data science organization. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing and utilizing state-of-the-art AI/ML-based algorithms to processing, analyzing and interpreting images or similar data derived from a variety of imaging modalities and platforms, including but not limited to histopathological slides, radiological image data and others to classify, segment, characterize, or predict patient outcomes, biomarker status, or disease. This individual will take part in discussions and present their work to the team and relevant stakeholders.

responsibilities:

  • Utilize cutting-edge technology for the analysis of images or similar data derived from a variety of imaging modalities and platforms.

  • Devise AI/ML approaches to develop image analysis solutions for biomarker discovery in oncology and neurosciences.

  • develop and validate AI model(s) that use feature embeddings to predict molecular/gene signatures from histopathology whole slide images.

  • Compile data and present at internal/external meetings.

qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong expertise in developing and validating machine learning and AI techniques for image-like data.

  • Programming experience (python/MATLAB/C/C++).

  • Experience using high-performance compute clusters to train and deploy deep models.

  • Experience with statistics and data analysis/visualization of multi-dimensional data.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, Bioinformatics, computational biology or other related field with relevant imaging analysis experiences.
