Job Title: Construction Laborer weekly pay

Job Description

We are seeking skilled construction laborers to assist with large-scale construction projects. Candidates will transfer between tasks as needed and must be versatile and open to learning new skills. Responsibilities include foundation work, piping, and paving labor, trenching and laying pipe for storm and sewer systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools and construction equipment such as tampers and rollers.

• Measure and grade construction sites.

• Mix and pour concrete.

• Cut and install pipes.

• Perform utility maintenance and drainage tasks.

• Assist with asphalt paving and heavy equipment operations.

• Support bridge and structural heavy civil and highway construction projects.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in construction, pipe installation, paving, and trenching.

• Ability to use hand tools and construction equipment effectively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in mathematical skills including computing rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpreting bar graphs.

• Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

• Problem-solving skills.

• Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed.

• Ability to meet physical requirements including movement and lifting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in heavy civil construction or road construction.

• Relevant safety certifications.

Work Environment

Projects involve site work for both public and private sectors, including trenching, drainage, grading, paving, and concrete foundation work. Candidates should be prepared to work outside in various weather conditions, with no days off for inclement weather unless specified on the job. The work environment includes exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and occasionally to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level can be loud.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of a 50-mile radius from Perkasie, Pennsylvania. *

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
