Disney Destinations Sales Solutions is a vibrant and integrated sales, marketing, and support team for all Disney Destinations portfolio (Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort and Disney Signature Experiences), across multiple Travel Trade and Direct to Consumer distribution channels. Sales and marketing support is provided at a global scale and includes a wide range of channels and businesses: Travel Agencies Sales, Tour Operators, Online Travel Agencies, Ticket resellers, Airlines, Central Florida Sales, Southern California ticket sales, Meetings & Conventions, Imagination Campus, Fairy Tale weddings and more. This is a Full-Time role.

If selected for this role, you will be reporting to the Director, Travel Agency Sales.

What You Will Do:

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading a team of remote Business Development Managers (BDM) within a territory in the USA. You will be selling six Disney portfolio products, to include Walt Disney Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, NatGeo Expeditions and Adventures by Disney, delivering on annual business goals.

  • Develop annual sales and marketing strategies by region to deliver annual territory revenue portfolio goals

  • Lead the Business Development Manager team to define and develop annual sales plan/marketing roadmap, inclusive territory business objectives, tactics, and timing

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with top travel agencies

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Disney product portfolio

  • Communicate to the team Travel Agency Sales and/or clients business rules, policies and programs in a timely and effective manner

  • Bolster ongoing critical thinking/direction for the Cast and clients, evaluating all opportunities through a lens that enhances resources and delivers on annual revenue goals

  • Influence business and Cast through clear communication, keeping team and clients aligned, focused and informed (strong verbal and written skills)

  • Lead the sales team to be accountable for identifying and developing sales growth opportunities

  • Responsible for communication of all product and promotions Cast and Client

  • Apply sophisticated Mentoring and Cast Development - Improving talent and building a successful team

  • Actively break down barriers for the team/clients and business

  • Accountable for timely forecasting, tracking and reporting of territory performance

  • Be the voice of the market providing ongoing competitive updates portfolio

  • Stay current on competitive trends, programs, initiatives

  • Maintain relationships with internal partners across sites (Orlando and Anaheim)

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • At least five to seven years of Domestic travel industry including Cruise industry experience

  • At least five to seven years of Sales experience

  • Proven experience running a remote territory

  • Top-tier experience leading salaried and hourly Cast

  • Broad understanding of marketing principles and ability to build strategic plans, creative problem solving skills

  • Must have the ability to balance the demands of frequent travel and interaction with C ast and client

  • Proven experience in managing multi-million-dollar annual labor/program budget

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a business field (e.g. Finance, Sales, Business Administration, Marketing)

The hiring range for this position is $141,700.00 to $189,900.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
