Mozaic (a chapter of The Arc) is hiring for an Employment Specialist. Employment Specialists are essential for the difference they make in the lives of the people they work with daily. They teach life and work skills on a daily basis and develop individualized activities and job opportunities promoting personal growth and independence. Employment Specialists must communicate and problem solve effectively with all individuals, team members, and service providers to provide quality services for all individuals.

• Enhances worker skill development for successful vocational outcomes and ensures timely completion of necessary documentation

• Fosters and sustains positive relationships with employers and relevant community-based sites

• Responsible for maintaining all documentation for Life Plan Reviews.

• Assists individuals with building interpersonal skills, creating resume, developing job leads, filling out applications, and developing interview skills to match skills, interests and ability with work opportunities

• Provides job development, training, job coaching services, interventions and situational counseling related to employment

• Ensures compliance with regulations, agency policies and procedures

• Assists in the identification and development of new services and supports opportunities that provides quality of life choices

  Employment Specialist Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities
