POSITION: Appearance Enhancement Instructor (Cosmetology or Barbering) – Anticipated (FT - 10 month), FTE Based on Enrollment

SITE/BUILDING: Jefferson Middle School, Port Jefferson, NY

ASSIGNMENT: Department of Career, Technical and Adult Education

START DATE: September 1, 2025

MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: $56,861.00*

• Minimum starting salary rates are established per 2024-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs). 2025-2026 compensation rates will follow CBAs when available.

Job Qualifications

• NYS Cosmetology or Barbering 7-12 Certification or eligible for Transitional A Certification

• 3-5 years industry experience

• MUST hold Cosmetology or Barbering License

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to plan and implement student learning per the established curriculum; CTE Exploratory Program designed to provide exposure and foundational skills to middle school behavioral students.
