Actalent Test Equipment Design Engineer in Parsippany, New Jersey

Test Equipment Design Engineer

Hybrid Position, 2 days/week on-site. Salary range: $140,000 - $200,000.

The Test Equipment Design Engineer will help lead department wide efforts to develop and deploy reliable, robust, and sustainable automated production test solutions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Scientific field.

• Minimum of eight (8) years of work experience in test engineering.

• Demonstrable strong understanding of testing principles and philosophies, with a comprehensive understanding of test solution hardware and software development principles, technologies, platforms and tools.

• Thorough understanding of functional test procedure development and maintenance.

• Expertise with National Instruments TestStand / LabWindows CVI / LabVIEW and National Instruments Data Acquisition and Modular Instrumentation, or equivalent environment.

• Experience in architecting, developing and integrating electronic test systems featuring modern hardware, software, and instrumentation technologies.

• Ability to write standards and documentation around test program software designs.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Master’s Degree in an Engineering or Scientific field.

• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of work experience in defense and manufacturing test.

• Understanding Process Capability and Process Capability Measurement (CPK), and skilled in the statistical evaluation of measurement uncertainty.

• Experience in bidding, planning, and executing development programs.

• Demonstrable project leadership on multi-discipline teams.

• Demonstrable executive level engagement and commensurate communication skills

• Ability to chair and facilitate structured meetings with tangible outcomes.

Work Environment

The position follows a 9/80 work schedule, allowing for every other Friday off.
