Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Parsippany, New Jersey

Description

A small business based in Parsippany, NJ is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager on a contract to full-time basis. The Human Resources Manager will report to ownership, and will be responsible for handling all aspects of HR for 20-30 employees. The Human Resources Manager will initially be tasked with updating the existing employee handbook and other corporate policies, as well as meeting with and creating credibility among the employee base. Additionally, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for payroll, benefits administration, and recruitment activities. The ideal Human Resources Manager will have a minimum of 5-7 years as an HR leader for small to midsized organizations, and will take a hands-on approach to ensuring compliance with any relevant HR compliance requirements. This role requires strong communication skills, an approachable personality, and a desire to advocate on behalf of the employee base to ensure the expansion of a positive corporate culture. Any variety of professional HR certifications (i.e. - SHRM, PHR, CHRM, etc.) is a must.

Requirements • Extensive experience in Human Resources Management.

• Proven track record in managing Employee Relations.

• Strong knowledge of HR Compliance and Employment Law.

• Proficiency in using ADP for Payroll management.

• Experience in Corporate Recruiting is essential.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.

• Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) would be a plus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
