Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Developer with 8+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Synapse Pipelines Azure Data Lake Store Azure DevOps Python Azure Synapse SQL Pool Azure Synapse Spark Pool SQL and PySpark. Experience in the Transportation & Logistics domain is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Synapse Pipelines to ensure efficient data processing and integration.

• Manage and optimize Azure Data Lake Store for high-performance data storage and retrieval.

• Utilize Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment of data solutions.

• Write and maintain Python scripts for data manipulation and analysis.

• Implement and manage Azure Synapse SQL Pool for scalable data warehousing solutions.

• Leverage Azure Synapse Spark Pool for big data processing and analytics.

• Design and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.

• Develop PySpark applications for large-scale data processing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve solutions.

• Contribute to the companys purpose by delivering impactful data solutions that drive business decisions.

Qualifications

• Have good experience in Synapse Pipelines Azure Data Lake Store and Azure DevOps or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Python Azure Synapse SQL Pool and Azure Synapse Spark Pool.

• Have a solid understanding of SQL and PySpark for data processing and analysis.

• Experience in the Transportation & Logistics domain is a plus.

• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Show ability to work in a hybrid work model with day shifts.

Certifications Required

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate

Salary and Other Compensation:

Application will be accepted through 4/20/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $68,000-$123,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
