A&A Tile and Coping, Inc. headquartered at 8410 Easton Road, Ottsville, PA 18942, Phone Number: 267-885-9991, is looking to fill twelve (12) Tile Setter Helper positions from 10/01/2024 to 10/31/2024. This is for full-time, Peak-load temporary employment. Duties include: With little to no supervision, the tile settler laborer will apply hard tile, stone, and comparable materials on swimming pools. The tile setter laborer will use hand and power tools such as tile cutters, drills, trowels, grout floats, brushes, screeds, levels, speed squares and tile spacers. The tile setter laborer will cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners. The tile setter laborer will mix, apply, and spread plaster, concrete, mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives to form a bed for the tiles, using brush, trowel and screed. The tile setter laborer will apply mortar to back of tile, position the tile, and press or tap with trowel to affix tile to base. The tile setter laborer will measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, align and straighten tile using levels and squares. Tile Setter Laborers will prepare for the winter season by cleaning equipment and preparing for storing. Additionally, tile setter laborers will be performing finishing touches on projects such as setting to ensure the work is completed before the winter season. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for 75 yards. Must have at least three (3) of months related experience.

 

$32.77 per hour with overtime available at $49.16 per hour, based on the hourly rate. 45 hours per week from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday. The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 8410 Easton Road, Ottsville, PA 18942, and will service clients within the following Metropolitan Statistical Areas, Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE-MD; Dover, DE; Atlantic City-Hammonton, NJ; Reading, PA; York-Hanover, PA; Chambersburg-Waynesboro, PA; Harrisburg-Carlisle, PA; Lancaster, PA; Lebanon, PA; Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, PA-NJ; New York-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ-PA; and Trenton, NJ, including the counties of Bucks (PA), Burlington (NJ), Camden (NJ), Chester (PA),Delaware (PA), Gloucester (NJ), Montgomery (PA), New Castle (DE), and Salem (NJ); Kent (DE); Atlantic (NJ); Berks (PA); York (PA); Franklin (PA); Cumberland (PA); Lancaster (PA); Lebanon (PA); Lehigh (PA), Northampton (PA), Warren (NJ); Bergen (NJ), Essex (NJ), Hudson (NJ), Hunterdon (NJ), Middlesex (NJ), Monmouth (NJ), Morris (NJ), Ocean (NJ), Orange (NY), Passaic (NJ), Somerset (NJ), Sussex (NJ), Union (NJ), and Mercer County (NJ). The Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.

 

A single workweek will be used in computing wages due. The pay period is weekly. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Employer will provide housing at no cost. The offered housing is optional for workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of  the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced.
