  • Job Location:* Annville, PA This role is an opportunity to join the Technical Assurance Team at Hershey’s newest, state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Annville, PA. The facility plays a critical role in the company’s strategic growth objectives delivering step-change commercial value, leveraging advanced technology, and enhancing agility for customer growth. You will work under the guidance of Hershey leadership and team up with our 3PL partners to maintain and set the standards for equipment reliability throughout the facility. If you are passionate about creating the future, we would like to talk to you! * Summary:* Under the direction of the Tech Assurance Manager, the Maintenance Planner will serve as a liaison between Maintenance and Operations, with the primary objective of planning, organizing, and coordinating maintenance tasks, ensuring that equipment, machinery, and infrastructure are properly maintained to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. The maintenance planner will also create the systematic equipment structure, organize the equipment bill-of-materials, establish all routine, preventive, predictive maintenance activities associated with new or relocated assets coming into the facility. * Responsibilities:* Planning/Scheduling: * Initiate, review, and manage work requests. * Analyze work requirements and determine materials, equipment and labor required (such as blueprints, tools, parts, and trades skill requirements) to complete the work effectively and efficiently. * Responsible for removing nonproductive or reactive time from the maintenance workforce. * Ensure that all planned maintenance work is ready to be performed with no delays. This includes the labor requirements for the execution of the work and ensuring all parts and specialty tools are kitted and available as needed. * Partner with Production Planning to stay up to date with production changes and modify the maintenance schedule accordingly. * Work with maintenance staff and tech assurance team to establish a periodic work plan. * Ensure the established schedule is communicated to all plant stakeholders. Maintain a complete and current backlog of work orders. * Stay well-informed of all new capital or relocated assets coming in to or leaving the facility. * Responsible for reviewing the historical asset documentation in SAP, or in the case of new assets review documentation provided by the Project Manager and establish all routine maintenance activities required to maintain the asset. Relationship Management: * Principal contact and liaison between maintenance and operation team * Ensure all internal customers receive timely, efficient, and quality service. * Help production department balance their need for daily output with their need for equipment reliability through proactive maintenance. * Keep the maintenance manager, supervisors, and reliability lead informed of abnormal or critical situations. * The Planner will assist in training plant personnel on maintenance management system and processes. (SAP) * Work with outside vendors/contractors to schedule and complete any work that requires their services. Preventative/Predictive Maintenance: * Ensure all preventive/predictive maintenance activities are accurate and scheduled at their predetermined frequencies to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. * Ensure Preventative Maintenance/Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) documentation and required parts/materials are specified, written, procured, and initiated for all new plant assets to ensure PM/PdMs are in place prior to asset commissioning. * Ensure that the predictive data returned to the Plant for analysis is reviewed for issues needing further attention and that work requests are written accordingly. * Assures all work is compliant with regulatory requirements (OSHA, QA, and plant specific standards). Maintenance Reliability: * Utilize SAP and perform analysis of the data as necessary to improve and enhance plant and facilities operations. * Leverage Reliability Leads to help identify and execute improvements throughout the facility. * Take part in PM optimization teams and other teams to drive reliability and efficient work practices. * Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:* * Must possess or have the aptitude and ability to quickly develop an in-depth working knowledge of applicable Hershey processes, SAP, workflows, and procedures. * Ability to read schematics, drawings and technical manuals and understand complex equipment functionality. * Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, highly motivated, and organized with the ability to prioritize and follow through. * Must be able to work in a proactive work environment, be an effective motivator, communicator, delegator, and trainer of people, and be able to effectively achieve results through others. * Sound understanding of planning and scheduling principles. * Show willingness to tackle new tasks and grow professionally. * Experience with failure analysis and reliability methodologies and tools. * Physical Demand:* Frequently * Sit, stand, walk, crawl, squat/crouch, twist, bend, grasp, lift up to 25 pounds. * Regularly possess manual/finger/hand dexterity to handle, manipulate, control, feel and adjust objects to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately; sufficient hand strength is required to be able to effectively operate hand tools. Rarely * Lift/maneuver/move objects weighing 50-100 pounds with a team * Lift up to 100 pounds with a team or Material Handling Equipment * Work Environment:* * Work performed in a climate-controlled food manufacturing facility. * A Safety-first culture where using the proper LOTO methods/procedures is required * The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are required to include but not limited to safety shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, bump camps, hair and beard nets, and gloves. The duties and responsibilities outlined provide a general overview, of which is not intended to be considered all-inclusive, and is subject to change as business needs evolve. * Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: * * Associates Degree in a technical field or a Certificate in a field such as Industrial Systems Technology, Industrial Mechatronics, etc. Minimum of 2+ years of maintenance planning experience required in leu of a degree. * A minimum of 3 years of Maintenance OR 1 year of Maintenance Planning experience is required. * 2+ years of maintenance planning experience in a high-speed, complex manufacturing environment is preferred * Food manufacturing experience is preferred. * Prior SAP experience is preferred. #LI-TL1 #LI-Onsite The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
