Minimum Qualifications Nathan Kline Research Institue is recruiting for a psychiatrist 2 Research to conduct research studies to develop better methods to prevent and treat serious and persistent mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.Minimum Qualifications: Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (HELPS) program as a psychiatrist 2 Research if they have:• License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State; and• Certification in psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN); and• 2 years of post-residency experience designing and/or conducting research studies in an academic or research setting.ORCandidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description As a Psychiatrist 2 Research at Nathan Kline Research Institute, your duties will include:• Designing, conducting, and supervising clinical research, studies, and experiments of psychiatric disorders and treatments• Presenting and reporting research activities and findings• Submitting research grant proposals
