We have two exciting full-time, 11-month obligation Counselor positions available. These positions come with possible alternative work hours including some nights and weekends. Counselor position duties include but not limited to: Position 1: An emphasis on serving as a mental health trainer, consultant, and educator to students, faculty, and staff.Position 2: An emphasis on serving as a liaison for BIPOC, LGBTQ, and/or First-Generation populations.Requirements:Required Qualifications Include: A Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field.A mental health licensure or license eligible in New York State.Two years' experience providing individual or group counseling.Position 2: Additionally requires demonstrated experience and/or expertise in working with BIPOC, LGBTQ, and/or First-Generation populations on issues of stress, and trauma.Preferred Qualifications: Licensed in New York State.Clinically experienced in providing short-term mental health treatment.Higher education experienceExperience facilitating group therapy.Experienced in developing and facilitating outreach programs.Experienced in working with and serving diverse populations.To learn more about the University and the Counseling Center, please refer to: https://suny.oneonta.edu/ and https://suny.oneonta.edu/counseling-center
