Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of general maintenance duties for the interior and exterior of campus buildings. This includes electrical, mechanical, and carpentry tasks involved in the maintenance and repair of college facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
Inspect buildings, electrical systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe and well-maintained conditions, identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
Complete maintenance work orders as assigned and in a timely manner.
Operate a variety of machinery, equipment, and tools including saws, routers, drills, sanders, planers, drill presses, and various hand tools.
Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment; recommend tools, supplies, and equipment for purchase.
Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions on various construction projects.
Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment prior to and during use.
Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs; replace light bulbs, ballasts, and fuses.
Install or replace plugs, switches, and outlets.
Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC systems, changing filters, and bearings.
Identify and perform basic service and repair on plumbing fixtures; open clogged lines and drains.
Identify and assist with carpentry and repair work.
Inspect, service, and maintain the operational functionality of doors and windows.
Essential Skills
High school diploma/GED required.
3 – 5 years of related experience is required.
Knowledge of power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training in a skilled trade is preferred.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
