Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and inspecting asphalt and concrete materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of material properties, testing procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tests on asphalt and concrete materials to determine their quality and suitability for use.

  • Perform routine sampling and testing of materials in the field and laboratory.

  • Ensure all tests are performed accurately and in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.

  • Record and analyze test data, preparing detailed reports on findings.

  • Monitor production processes to ensure materials meet quality standards.

  • Identify and report any issues or non-compliances, recommending corrective actions as necessary.

  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure quality control objectives are met.

  • Stay updated on industry developments, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.

  • NECEPT Qualified and ACI Certification

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, specifically in testing asphalt and concrete materials.

  • Strong understanding of material properties, testing procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Proficient in using testing equipment and software for data analysis.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Physical ability to perform fieldwork, including lifting and carrying samples and equipment.

Working Conditions:

  • This role involves both laboratory and fieldwork, with exposure to various weather conditions.

  • The position may requires overtime, nigh time and weekend work to meet project deadlines.
