    Daily Hours: 21 hours per week

    Work Year: 2025-2026

    Supervisor: Corey Hepburn

    Minimum Requirements:

    Current GCSD Teacher who is:

    1) Certified by NYS as a Technology Teacher and/or Career and Technical Education

    2) Certified as a Fire Instructor

    2) Willing to work with students from all four GCSD High Schools

    3) Effective or Highly Effective on the Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR)

    Desired Qualifications:

    Industry experience within a Firefighting Role

    Industry experience as a Certified EMT

    Experience teaching Technology classes with a Work Based Learning component.

    Position Summary/Responsibilities:

    Work with area colleges for dual enrollment opportunities associated with public safety

    Maintain Public Safety certifications so that students can also obtain relevant safety certifications.

    Identify and develop a system for students to participate in internships and shadowing

    Work with Director of School to Career Pathways to develop NYS Program of Study, to identify national exam and to identify advisory committee members

    Work with Director of School to Career Pathways to ensure fidelity of pathway
