Minimum Requirements:
Current GCSD Teacher who is:
1) Certified by NYS as a Family and Consumer Science Teacher
2) Willing to work with students from all four GCSD High Schools
3) Effective or Highly Effective on the Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR)
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated interest and knowledge in mental health, personal wellness, and/or human development
Willingness to collaborate with Nazareth College to ensure seamless dual enrollment experience
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction based on Nazareth College's curriculum for the Introduction to the Mental Health Professions course
Facilitate career exploration activities and guest speaker opportunities within the mental health field
Build connections with local mental health professionals to explore potential internships and shadowing experiences
Work with Director of School to Career Pathways to ensure fidelity of pathway
