SAP Senior Data Scientist in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work within an international team of data scientists and data engineers to deliver top-grade machine learning-based cloud solutions into production. We solve real-world challenges posed by SAP's customers and product units with focus on intelligent document processing, e.g., information extraction, OCR, and entity recognition. You will apply the state-of-the-art in deep learning and take one of the richest data sets available in industry to the next level.

What youll do

Push the frontiers of what is possible in the area of machine learning working with real data.

Explore, understand, and implement the most recent machine learning algorithms and approaches.

Responsible for creating prototypes involving machine learning models to address business problems.

Regular project updates using data visualization techniques and audience friendly approach with management and stakeholders.

Communicate the relevance of implemented systems and achieved results in a visual and consistent way.

What you bring

In-depth AI and data science knowledge, with a focus on natural language processing and/or computer vision.

Intermediate understanding of databases such as SAP HANA, SQL Server, or Oracle.

Drive all the phases of Data Management Center of Excellence (CoE) data science projects from initial business understanding to final Deployment.

Hands-on experience architecting and implementing deep learning / machine learning / data science projects for innovative products.

Experience in working directly with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Tech you bring

Relevant experiences in data modeling and using data analytical tools and techniques (e.g., Python, SQL, Hadoop, R, Data Bricks)

Intermediate understanding of databases such as SAP HANA, SQL Server, or Oracle

Familiarity with statistical models and data mining algorithms

Ability to understand business requirements and project objectives

Ability to understand and analyze use case data

Ability to prepare and organize data for data modeling

AI modeling skills. Use adequate modeling techniques to produce relevant models. Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Evaluation skills. Assess quality and robustness of models to meet business objectives and adjust models.

Deployment skills. Deploy models and share results with stakeholders.

Ability to manage data lakes end to end from creation to maintenance

Compensation Range Transparency : SAPbelieves the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 105,900-220,900 USD.The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidateswill be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills,experience, scope ofthe role, location, etc. as determinedthrough theselection process.
