Sales Planning Functional Lead- Baseline

Newark, NJ

The Sales Planning Baseline Functional Lead is responsible for managing the sales baseline forecast by owning the planning tool, prioritization for sales teams, driving adoption for US Sales. The functional lead is considered the product owner of the base planning tool. Additionally, the Sales Planning Baseline Functional Lead will be responsible for developing the product roadmap in conjunction with stakeholder and developer Inputs. The position must drive alignment of processes and key inputs from the sales organization. The Sales Planning Baseline Functional Lead is also responsible for understanding the total baseline sales forecast and supporting the sales organization in understanding key risks and opportunities.

What are we looking for?
Bachelors in business or other relevant area/ Master's degree preferred
4 years in Demand and Customer Management experience within a FMCG environment
1-2 years of demonstrated project management experience.
Strong analytical skills and experience of applying a wide range of analytics that drive insights and actions for complex customers and a variety of business situations.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Stakeholder management experience
Previous experience in supply, planning sales operations and Customer management a plus.
Good business acumen with a strong understanding and application of the sales cycle, trends, and broader business implications to making judgments and recommendations for action.


What would be your key responsibilities?
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement forecasting tools and reporting that drives understanding and change management across sales, supply and marketing.
Ownership of Sales Baseline Planning tool maintenance, roadmap, and development implementation.
Analyses forecast performance and leverages reporting and resources to develop tactical and operational plans to improve.
Partners with sales and Internal stakeholders to support strategic demand planning and develop and execute solutions that enable efficiency, effectiveness, and growth.
Collaborates with key stakeholders internally to navigate challenges and provide solutions as required to maximize accuracy.
Identifies opportunities to introduce better, faster, more accurate and scalable solutions that better meet teams needs and deliver strong forecast accuracy.
Coordinates with Technical team including data scientists, digital team, and product development team to address issues in functionality and build roadmap for future improvements.
Utilizes operational reviews to proactively gain insights, identify issues and propose improvements solutions.
Supports the Sales and Operations in understanding the total base forecast, risks and opportunities and overall actual performance vs plan. Also supports in identifying what actions need to be put in place to drive improved forecast accuracy.
Identifies and implements best practice for the Sales team through the periodic planning process.
