Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Department of Advanced Practice Nursing within the School of Nursing, located in Newark, NJ. The Program Coordinator administers an interprofessional reproductive health training program state-wide, including managing interprofessional trainer and trainee schedules and onboarding learners into the program. Additionally, they will provide financial support including reimbursement to community partners and Rutgers units, track expenses, and manage all evaluation and program data. Develops and implements plans and procedures to ensure efficient operational and administrative systems are maintained Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgment. Requires a non-judgmental and compassionate view on individual reproductive health decisions.Duties include:
  • Reviews applications from learners and community partners to the program. Coordinates with community partners to vet external learners prior to start of training.
  • Plans and schedules interviews with potential community partners with the Program Director or other team members.
  • Plans and schedules the inter-professional trainer and trainee schedule to make maximum effective utilization of training opportunities within budgetary requirements.
  • On-boards trainees into the program, including completion and organization of required documentation and coordinating with trainees about training logistics.
  • Prepares training reports including evaluation and program data, and analyzes moderately complex data and information.
  • Coordinates fiscal procedures with the program. Ensures that project expenditures are in accordance with the allocation of funds.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Education, or a related field, plus three (3) years of professional administrative/management experience required.
  • Equivalent experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
  • Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
  • The ability to set priorities and work under pressure to meet time deadlines is required.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter who is detail-oriented and analytical, has strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Travel between campus office locations (Newark, New Brunswick, Camden) may be required on occasion.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of reproductive health training and experience in medical training administration are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications, specifically Word and Excel, online searching, emailing, and fluency with learning new software applications are highly desirable.
