What you will do
In PGIM Fixed Income, our Portfolio Management and Risk ( PM&R) technology group is a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership. We are looking for strong software engineers to build our future front office risk and portfolio management platform. Our ideal candidate will have a background in building complex asset management risk systems in Java, Python, and JavaScript (React or Angular) leveraging AWS cloud components.
What you can expect
Design and architect rich user interfaces in JavaScript for our users
Build and maintain new and existing risk and portfolio management applications in Java and Python
Work side by side with our Portfolio Analyst Group (PAG) team and other front office investment teams.
Build and maintain code to manage data received from heterogenous data formats including web-based sources, internal/external databases, flat files, heterogenous data formats (binary, ASCII).
Build interfaces for supporting evolving and new applications and accommodating new data sources and types of data.
What you will bring
4 years of experience in developing in Java, Python, and/or JavaScript.
Knowledge of Git, Jira and other common SDLC tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an ability to think in a fast moving and dynamic environment.
Proactive and ownership mentality
What will set you apart?
AWS Cloud experience.
Direct experience supporting front office end-users (PM, Quant).
Strong knowledge of RDBMS
Experience with building microservices using Spring boot framework.
Experience in building web applications using Angular or React

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $ 90,000 to $110,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
