Description

A company in Newark, NJ is seeking a Facilities Manager on a long term contract basis. This role involves interpreting occupancy planning data, managing floor plans, and coordinating office moves in a large-scale environment. This opportunity extends to those who have experience with facilities planning, continuity planning, design planning, and floor plans. This would by a hybrid position!

Responsibilities:

• Interpret occupancy planning data to align with company needs

• Manage and adjust floor plans according to the changing needs of the company

• Coordinate office moves while ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations

• Assess readiness to accommodate employees for potential increase in onsite days

• Collaborate with different teams to ensure smooth transition during office moves

• Utilize skills in Facilities Management and Commercial Real Estate to optimize space usage

• Continuously monitor and adjust seating and planning arrangements based on company requirements

• Develop and implement strategies for efficient space utilization

• Ensure all facilities management tasks comply with company policies and regulations

• Address any facilities-related inquiries or issues in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements • Demonstrated experience in a Project Manager role or similar capacity.

• Proficient in facilities coordination and management.

• Experience in facilities and design planning.

• Ability to create and interpret floor plans.

• Knowledge of continuity planning.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Strong organizational and planning abilities.

• Proficient in the use of project management software and tools.

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.

• Relevant industry certifications would be advantageous.
