POSITION: Vice President, Investment ExecutiveDESCRIPTION:Primarily responsible for originating and executing opportunities across core infrastructure and energy sectors. As well as the execution of transactions, a significant part of the role will be to input the business development strategy for target sectors and take an active role in its implementation, with the objective of delivering opportunities in the rapidly changing infrastructure markets that will make attractive risk adjusted returns for InfraRed’s funds. Able to lead transactions and execution processes, with a high degree of commercial judgement and analytical ability, competently managing all relevant internal and external stakeholders.•Develop and nurture InfraRed Networks and relationships supportive of implementation of targeting strategies.•Originate and lead the structuring and completion of transactions (predominantly greenfield investments and brownfield acquisitions but may also include refinancings and disposals) efficiently and in accordance with InfraRed’s policies and processes.•Actively contribute to business development strategy and implementation.•Manage appraisal and detailed analysis of investment opportunities including reviewing relevant source documentation, appointing, managing, and questioning due diligence advisors and overseeing creation of an reviewing outputs from underlying project finance models.•Review and negotiate investment-related documentation such as sale and purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and financing documents; and review (where appropriate) existing agreements, (e.g. subcontracts) for commercial logic, red flags and adequacy.•Represent InfraRed and the applicable fund in meetings with vendors, acquisition partners, co-shareholders, financiers and contractors on transactions.•Cultivate existing network of market contacts and grow this network in tandem with colleagues.•Prepare and lead presentations of investment opportunities to Investment Committees.•On a selective basis, monitor investments which includes representing InfraRed on Boards of investment companies as required.•Participate in reporting processes.•Advance the sector knowledge of other team members through proactive collaboration and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of existing transaction processes.•Mentor and develop junior staff members.•Assist with fundraising and reporting to investors as required.•Champion the One Team philosophy and bring in and coordinate with various InfraRed teams such as asset management, credit, sustainability, etc. as required in new transactions.REQUIREMENTS:Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, Management or related and 2 years of experience in the job or related position. Education, training or experience to include: •Working within the infrastructure and energy sectors in other geographies such as the Americas, with transactional experience in making investments either as a sponsor, principal or an investment advisory capacity•Working as part of an investment team with a track record of successful transactions and value driven initiatives•Analyze infrastructure opportunities that fulfil the fund metrics requirements and enhances the current portfolio of assets in an energy or infrastructure focused fund Assisting in all internal and external due diligence workstreams in a transaction, including but not limited to: technical, commercial, market, tax, insurance, financial, legal, credit, sustainability and counterparty•Assisting in the negotiations of transaction documents in conjunction with legal counsel•Tracking investments through the Dynamo software•Provide post-transaction support in the form of asset management and portfolio management responsibilitiesLOCATION: 730 3rd Avenue, 22nd Floor, New York, NY 10017 - Telecommuting may be permitted a few days a week. When not telecommuting, must report to InfraRed’s office in New York City.
