Job Description

We’re looking for an outstanding VP, eCommerce Strategy leader, someone who can win the hearts of clients, inspire their teammates, and skillfully juggle multiple clients and partners. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced eCommerce media expert to drive outcomes for Verizon, with a focus on the Value Brands portfolio which includes brands like StraightTalk, Visible & Tracfone among others.

Role Overview:

The VP, eCommerce will be the lead of our Commerce COE for Verizon, which means maintaining relationships with retail partners, integrating ecommerce strategy into holistic plans, overseeing investment retail workstreams, and developing and implementing best practices across the team. You will be the connector across the agency teams and client teams and will be responsible for driving commerce across the full funnel and working with Data and Analytics to develop Commerce Learning agendas. You will serve as the main point of contact across senior clients and act as a leader across the full agency team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage growing eCommerce team in the planning and activation of campaigns across retail commerce space, including: Walmart Media Group, Dollar General, Target/Roundel, Family Dollar & Best Buy, among others.

  • Interpret client needs, and develop strategic solutions that address the needs and goals for their business.

  • Partner closely with Brand Planning, Search, Precision, and Paid Social counterparts to ensure commerce plans fit within overall go-to-market approach

  • Key lead for client conversations, acts as bridge between media and shopper team for streamlining omni-channel strategies with key retail partners

  • Responsible for presenting strategic recommendations, soliciting feedback and ensuring team is able to execute on strategy to effectively hit client goals

  • Manage, optimize, and expand programs for all performance marketing channels to maximize the sales and strategic KPIs (new customer acquisition, lifetime value, etc.)

  • Partner with agency leads across Creative, Technology, and Strategy to deliver connected commerce plans to our clients

  • Serve as liaison to Zenith & Publicis Media Commerce practices to ensure we are bringing best in class tools and solutions to our Verizon; connect clients through thought leadership, training, and workshops.

  • Consulting Strategy and Digital Investment teams on Commerce opportunities within upper-funnel investments and strategies.

  • Support in any new business pitches and related work as required

  • Be a leader through strength and stability -- functioning as a point of escalation for clients and team members as needed

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of media planning and buying experience, with at least 5 years in digital commerce role. A background in shopper marketing and in-depth knowledge of the retail commerce landscape is critical

  • Strong command of commerce platforms, syndicated research tools, and reporting resources such

  • Deep relationships in the commerce industry, including with publishers, tech platforms, and brand teams

  • 5-8 years of people managing experience, overseeing five or more reports in an account management/client services team

  • Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of how to add incremental value and communicate that to our clients

  • Strong communication and writing skills—you’re poised, precise, and above all, kind when engaging with others

  • Able to package, merchandise, and sell in concepts and new opportunities

  • Strategic thinking and able to see the bigger picture

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting

  • This is a NY based role with requirement of 3x a week in office or onsite at client location.

Compensation Range: $153,000 - $210,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
