Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience managing the work of engineering teams.

  • Experience with executive communication and partnership.

  • Experience with software engineering and C++ coding.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience in start up environments.

  • Experience with technical sales teams.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and quickly shift priorities.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will manage complex programs, quickly adapt to changing conditions and learn new technologies in order to navigate shifting business needs across projects.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high complexity and scope, align on project plans, priorities, and execution/delivery of technical critical initiatives.

  • Manage program risks, issues, and track them to meet expected outcomes and timelines, building mitigation plans as the program evolves.

  • Use technical acumen to drive project delivery, technology reviews, challenge proposals and build consensus.

  • Be a versatile technical partner and a liaison between internal Engineering teams and our vendor led specialists in Europe.

  • Quantify and report on program deliverables and goals and the impact they generate to the Search organization. Communicate progress and status internally and to our partner teams.
