The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The School of Nursing is looking to hire five (5) Student Workers to work on a study to develop and test the initial impact of a sleep intervention with children ages 7 - 11. Most of the duties will occur after school hours (i.e., 3 - 6 PM), with some office work during this time as well.

Responsibilities

Specific tasks for this position entail:

- Photocopying study materials;
- Describing the study to children and their caregivers, and obtain consent/assent;

- Interviewing children and their caregivers in person and/or by phone, or Zoom; and

- Entering data.

This position will last up to 12 months, and the hours will vary depending on the individual's availability.
This is a temporary position with a flexible work schedule.
This is a grant funded position and continued employment is contingent upon the grant.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma required
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to present information to groups of children (i.e., make classroom presentations)

- Ability to work afternoons and evenings a few days a week

- Ability to work some nights/weekends to follow up with families

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in nursing, psychology, public health, or related field
- Experience working with children preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
