How you'll make an impact:

We need a full stack developer (Nodejs, Angularjs, React) and DevOps practitioner able to work in an on-prem containerised environment maintaining internal tooling and APIs used by developers, administrators, and enterprise users to manage infrastructure and pipelines. You will be part of the Systems Engineering team supporting the Pandora product assisting in operations and SRE monitoring. You will add a developer's perspective in maintaining our on-prem private cloud solution (Hashicorp Consul / Vault / Nomad, Docker) and providing support to its consumers.

What you'll do:

You will use your expertise in Javascript (React, Angularjs, Node), Python, and/or Go to craft and maintain internal tooling:

  • Enterprise (Employee Lifecycle management, Internal directories and lookups, Business Process Automation)
  • Development (On-prem private cloud, Developer Enablement)
  • Infrastructure (Business process automation, Systems Automation, CI/CD tooling)

You will provide support to internal users of our In-market product platform:

  • Debian Linux based bare metal hosts
  • Docker container based on-prem private cloud
  • Related CI/CD and configuration management (Ansible) tasks

What you'll need:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience. Including 5+ years developing with Javascript and 2+ years configuring Linux systems
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript, Angularjs, React, and Nodejs is a must.
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Strong proficiency with BASH
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle, including the use of source control (BitBucket), CI/CD (Jenkins) and various testing approaches.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful web APIs in an enterprise setting.
  • Experience accessing and defining Postgresql databases, specific PostgREST experience desired
  • Able to 'own' and support the code you deploy
  • Proven track record of quick turnaround code development
  • Direct experience writing Ansible playbooks and configuration management principles
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or LXC and orchestration tools like Nomad or Kubernetes
  • Understanding of large scale monitoring and observability tools
  • Self-motivated, capable of managing your time well, and work efficiently without close supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Some experience with Go or PHP is desirable
  • Familiarity with Hashicorp Vault and Consul
  • Experience building and deploying to AWS/GCP
  • Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $95,800 to $170,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
