Senior Software Engineer: Responsibilities & duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) Create an events-driven autonomous system, the Platform Control Plane (PCP), w/ the goal of centrally managing all facets of the hundreds of deployments of our core platform; (2) Work w/ several engg depts, Infrastructure, SRE, Core Platform, & depts on the business side, Production Support, Solutions Architecture & multiple others; (3) Create the automation architecture that allows Unqork to scale to 1000+ clients; (4) Serve on a team of technical architects & developers bldg the control plane & new automation use cases for it; (5) Work w/ other engg teams & key stakeholders in the technology organization w/ the goal of reducing developer pain points; (6) Partner w/ Solutions Architecture & Production Support teams to create the unifying interface for the Unqork internal deployment platform (the PCP); (7) Immerse oneself in Unqork's technological ecosystem, maintaining an understanding of the internal organization-facing & the external customer-facing platforms. Reqmts: (1) Advanced exp w/ prgmg langs such as Python, NodeJS or Go; (2) Bachelor's Deg in Comp Sci or Engg; (3) 3 yrs of exp in S/ware Engg; (4) Exp bldg, managing & operating one's own codebases/services; (5) Deep exp architecting distributed services w/in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); (6) Ability to debug, optimize code, & automate routine tasks; (7) Docker & Kubernetes admin exp; (8) Exp in serverless computing, such as AWS Lambda; (9) Exp provisioning infrastructure w/ Terraform; (10) Exp using Ansible for configuration mgmt (11) Opportunity to work from home, anywhere in the U.S. Any suitable combo of education, training, or exp is acceptable.
