Simon & Schuster is seeking a seasoned, innovative Senior Marketing Manager to join the team at Simon Element.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead high-impact, multi-touch marketing campaigns across various imprints for blockbuster titles that span culinary and lifestyle, business, inspiration, and select literary and commercial fiction.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Simon & Schuster's imprints through strategic marketing initiatives. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Spearheading high-level marketing campaigns for a diverse portfolio of titles, including culinary, lifestyle, and nonfiction, ranging from perennial bestsellers to debut voices.
Managing brand author campaigns and platform-driven publications to enhance visibility and sales.
Developing and executing innovative, multi-platform marketing strategies that include social media, digital content, and collaborative projects with stakeholders.
Conducting detailed market analyses to identify trends and craft data-driven marketing strategies.
Effectively utilizing tools like Goodreads, Edelweiss, NetGalley, BookScan, Amazon Vendor Central, and social listening platforms to optimize marketing efforts.
Working independently on some projects, while leveraging collaboration and cross-functional teamwork on others.
Creating and deploying compelling editorial and visual content tailored to target audiences across multiple channels.
Consulting on social media strategies, monitoring performance, and engaging with online communities to amplify reach.
Presenting confidently in meetings with stakeholders, authors, and partners.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of specialized expertise, industry knowledge, and leadership skills, including:
A proven track record in marketing within the publishing industry, with significant experience in culinary, lifestyle, and nonfiction titles.
Advanced digital expertise, including experience with social media content creation, digital strategy, and tools like social listening and analytics platforms.
Exceptional ability to conduct market analyses, with an acute understanding of sales data and consumer behavior.
Hands-on experience managing brand author campaigns and/or platform-driven publications.
A strategic mindset with demonstrated success in driving marketing initiatives that generate high impact.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and stakeholders.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
