Danaher Corporation Senior Manager, Market Access Strategy & Payer Value Marketing (REMOTE - USA) in New York, New York

The Senior Manager, Market Access Strategy & Payer Value Marketing will play a critical role in the growth of Cepheid by building capabilities for value & access marketing and content development for Cepheid’s innovative products. This individual will be responsible for supporting the development of content/collateral including payer value propositions, value toolkits (e.g., value dossiers, executive summaries, slide presentations, objection handlers), and customer reimbursement support materials that enable patient access for Cepheid’s products globally. The position will also support worldwide Market Access strategy development initiatives. These activities will be accomplished by collaborating closely with external and internal stakeholders, including the worldwide strategy team, regional market access teams, HEOR, government affairs, medical & scientific affairs, product management, marketing, commercial, regulatory and clinical affairs, as well as laboratory and health system customers, federal government agencies/institutions, and managed care organizations.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive development of value toolkits and collateral (e.g., value propositions, value dossiers, executive summaries, slide presentations, and objection handlers) supporting products in development and on-market products to effectively communicate the value of Cepheid products to decision-makers including payers, laboratories, health systems, health technology assessment (HTA) agencies and ministries of health; collaborate across Government Affairs & Market Access and cross-functional teams to understand regional and global insights that can accelerate positive stakeholder decision-making and ensure content is aligned with overall product strategy and regional needs; develop training resources and help roll-out training materials for both Market Access and the Commercial teams and affiliated distributers.

  • Support and contribute to global Market Access team strategy development and strategic plan deliverables, including assessing and synthesizing payer policies & HTAs to develop understanding of payer objections and evidence gaps for Cepheid to address.

  • Coordinate and provide support for HTA submissions globally including development and adaptation of value dossiers, economic models, and evidence synthesis.

  • Project management including internal (e.g., team action plans) and vendor-led projects (e.g., implement and manage vendor contracts to agreed-upon service levels, budgets, and timelines); navigate resources through the promotional materials approval process; partner with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate dissemination of materials per Compliance guidelines and internal policies.

  • Monitor and report reimbursement issues and/or opportunities pertaining to the access of Cepheid products; anticipate market dynamics, competitive landscape, and scientific/clinical data to proactively identify and address customer-level opportunities and threats related to product access.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years OR master’s degree with 6+ years OR Doctoral degree with 3+ years of related work experience in Market Access/HEOR, Marketing, or Medical Communications.

  • Experience in payer policy, reimbursement, health economics, and health policy issues in medical devices/diagnostics with a demonstrated track record in communication of clinical & economic value stories.

  • Strategy and analytical thinker with strong project management skills (e.g., being able to handle multiple projects/products), action-oriented, and engaging effectively with cross-functional groups and senior management as appropriate.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.

  • Ability to travel, locally and regionally, up to 30% with overnight stays (e.g., Payer meetings, payer/institution locations, internal meetings, medical meetings, congresses, and training).

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledge of payer decision-making processes

  • Experience with reimbursement for medical devices, particularly in vitro diagnostic (IVD) molecular diagnostic laboratory tests

  • Experience in infectious diseases

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $140,000-$170,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
