Aerotek Senior HVAC Technician in New York, New York

Hiring - High Level HVAC Technician (5-7 years required)

Some travel will be required for this position. 70% local work to New York, 30% travel work

Pay: $45-50/HR

Job Description

This position is responsible for the organization, leadership and execution of complex HVAC-R activities without direct supervision and in accordance with approved policies, procedures and project plans. The Sr. HVAC-R Technician is expected to collaborate with leadership, vendors and cross-functional stakeholders on obsolescence management, special projects, and system/work process improvements. The High Level Technician will require a thorough understanding of safe work practices and is Expert in all aspects of commercial HVAC-R troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and replacement. This highly experienced and skilled individual will also be expected to lead and mentor diverse team members in other Markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Services, maintains, repairs and replaces HVAC and refrigeration related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.

• Diagnoses root causes of failures in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems for the purpose of identifying equipment or systems repair and replacement needs.

• Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications and diagrams.

• Obtains or fabricates replacement parts for the purpose of meeting specialty needs and/or replacing unavailable parts.

• Provides specialized technical expertise and guidance to other technicians.

• Collaborates with leadership, vendors and contractors to coordinate resources and resolve complex issues as it relates to HVAC-R systems.

• Manages all HVAC-R work orders across all markets.

• Assists in developing, implementing and maintaining SOPs, company policies, and processes as it relates to the US-wide HVAC-R Program.

• Executes and/or assists in all aspects of HVAC-R project implementation to include but not limited to all phases of planning and design to installation and commissioning.

• Prepares business cases, solicits design proposals, completes RFPs and executes applicable contracts.

• Assists with scheduling, budgeting, reporting, cost control, and inspections/monitoring as it relates to the US-wide HVAC-R Program.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $93000.00 - $104000.00/yr.
