About the team:

The Business Management & Strategic Initiatives Team coordinates activities among program and project team members, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet program goals

This position reports to the SVP, COO Business Management and Strategic Initiatives

What you will be doing:

  • Assisting in the management of FIS' technology transformation and change initiatives

  • Effectively interacting with internal stakeholders and key supplier organizations to ensure the needs and objectives of programs are met

  • Coordinates projects to ensure resources are engaged, projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget; Manage the program RAID Log

  • Ensures compliance with FIS Project Management methodology using the appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs

  • Facilitates team meetings, assembles meeting materials, and documents meeting minutes

  • Is responsible for gathering requirements and creating user stories and use cases

  • Is responsible for tasks associated with vendor resource onboarding and Statement of Work approvals

  • Completes other duties as assigned in support of FIS programs

What you bring:

  • A Bachelor's in computer science, management information systems or business administration or the equivalent experience

  • Typically requires five or more years work experience managing technical projects in financial services or a related industry or a related technical field, e.g., application development, technology integration, business analysis, client technology consulting)

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; engages with technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive management

  • Excellent collaboration skills with ability to build relationships and influence outcomes

  • Solid organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills with ability to manage competing deadlines

  • Experience with project management methodologies and techniques

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, & Outlook

  • Ability of operate effectively in both a team environment and independently

Added bonus if you have:

  • Previous experience working at FIS

  • Forecast and budget experience

  • Process documentation and workflow experience

  • Agile methodologies/Scrum experience
