Project Manager II - Office of the Dean, Clinical Affairs
Under the supervision of the EVP and Dean of Clinical Affairs, the Project Manager II (PMII) will develop and oversee the operational aspects and scope of large-scale projects, generally with system-wide implications that are aimed at streamlining operations, enhancing efficiency, and improving administrative processes within the Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS). The PMII will create and execute project work plans and revise them appropriately to meet changing needs and requirements. Will identify resources and assign individual responsibilities. Effectively apply project methodology techniques and enforce standards while ensuring quality.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Master’s degree or 7+ years with Bachelor’s degree; prior healthcare industry experience required, preferably in the areas of project management, change management, health care delivery re-design, or integration.

Driving execution by translating strategic priorities into operational reality; aligning communication, accountabilities, resource capabilities, internal processes, and ongoing measurement systems to ensure that strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results.
Navigating politics - actively maintaining a broad awareness of the internal and external environment by accurately perceiving organizational, political, and social dynamics; proactively navigating the stakeholder environment to avoid unwanted or unproductive reactions and consequences.

Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies for initiatives led by the Dean of Clinical Affairs.
Manage project scope, ensuring alignment with the Dean's vision and addressing potential deviations.
Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to stay on track with deadlines.
Translate strategic priorities into operational reality, aligning communication, accountabilities, resource capabilities, internal processes, and ongoing measurement systems to ensure that strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results.
Maintain effectiveness when experiencing significant changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjust effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
Stakeholder Management
Communicate project initiatives and tasks to team members and committee members clearly and regularly. Confer with staff to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Respond to feedback and status reports from the project team and applicable committees and Directors to revise the project tasks and/or timeline as necessary.
Regularly update stakeholders on project status, addressing concerns and managing expectations effectively.
Oversee team members’ work to ensure they successfully incorporate change into their practices and achieve the project objectives. Team responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders, developing training programs, and trackingengagement.
Clinical Operations Support:
Assist in developing and implementing new clinical programs, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and support data-driven decision-making.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Project Management
Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures against allocated funds and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Proactively address any budget concerns and propose adjustments as needed.
Ensure all staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects are met.
May contribute to the performance evaluation of the employees associated with the project and may evaluate vendors and consultants and their effectiveness and ability to deliver as promised.

Communication Strategy Development
Create and execute effective communication plans, utilizing various channels such as meetings, presentations, email updates, and newsletters to keep all stakeholders informed about project progress and potential impacts.
Develop and execute effective communication strategies, including writing and editing content for announcements, newsletters, and social media.
Assist in the planning and execution of events.
Team Leadership
Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient collaboration.
Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive work environment.

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $78000 - $138490.92 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
