Meta Privacy Program Manager in New York, New York

Summary:

As a Privacy Program Manager (PPM), you will help a growing team within the Privacy organization to scale and manage the Privacy Incident lifecycle from initial identification through completion of remediation tasks. You will also be responsible for ensuring Incident Management (IM) programs and processes meet internal standards, regulatory requirements and apply industry best practices to the program. We're searching for an innovative and motivated Privacy Program Manager who will scale and operationalize existing processes by understanding business requirements, pain points, compliance needs, assessing risks, managing changes, removing roadblocks, and communicating broadly with multiple functional groups and stakeholders. In this position, you will help identify, prioritize, and advocate for the largest opportunities, as well as create and manage new efficiency opportunities from ideation to launch by keeping privacy of our users and risk in the forefront.

Required Skills:

Privacy Program Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Drive process improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency across the Privacy Incident Management program

  2. Execute against long-term program roadmap to ensure continuous maturation of Privacy Incident Management program

  3. Lead and manage projects from start to finish, including defining project goals, creating project plans, and ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables

  4. Support audit and compliance requirements, including data and evidence collection, performance of safeguard testing activities and related reporting, coordination with internal and external audit teams

  5. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including team members, customers, and partners, to ensure successful project outcomes

  6. Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success, and partner to develop contingency plans to address any issues that may arise

  7. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle

  8. Develop and maintain process documentation, knowledge management tools, and other department resources

  9. Facilitate timely reporting to Privacy Incidents to regulators with accuracy and completeness

  10. Interface with Engineering, Product, Marketing, Legal, Policy, Operations and external partners for program requirements, scope and implementation

  11. Strong attention to detail and ability to create high quality work products suitable for executive-level review

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 1+ years of experience in the domain of Privacy or Information Security

  2. 4+ years of experience in program management, consulting, business operations, technical program management, incident response or other operational discipline

  3. Familiarity with Privacy Regulations and/or Directives like GDPR, CCPA etc

  1. Experience working with or in support of diverse communities

  2. Experience in privacy, technology law, compliance, policy, or other related field

  3. Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) or similar professional credential

  4. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field

  5. Experience using SQL to access and analyze data

Public Compensation:

$129,000/year to $189,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
