Principal Product Manager

Exciting Opportunity at MSK

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager, Data Products to join the Product Management team. In this role, within the broader Digital Informatics and Technology Solutions ( DigITs ) organization, the Principal Product Manager oversees product strategy, execution, and adoption for large scale digital solutions that support MSK employees, clinicians, researchers, and health consumers. You will be responsible for leading complex initiatives and managing a portfolio of data product offerings from strategy through execution and adoption.

Role Overview:

  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to align data product strategy with overall business goals, encouraging a shared vision and consensus on priorities; then translate these priorities into actionable use cases and executable plans.

  • Take charge of the data product roadmap, overseeing the entire lifecycle from initiation and planning to delivery and adoption. Ensure accountability for product execution and successful launch activities.

  • Validate data product ideas and establish a balanced framework for measuring the business impact of data product initiatives.

  • Understand the market and competitive landscape and solutions products that are aligned or exceed industry standards.

  • Engage with partners to resolve conflicts and make informed decisions on trade-offs between scope, budget, and timeline considerations.

  • Ensure consistent, repeatable delivery and drive continuous improvement of team workflows in key areas, including agile development, analytics, competitive intelligence, launch planning, and success measurement.

    Key Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of data product management experience creating strategic product roadmaps, leading product execution, and working with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with analytic data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir) strongly preferred.

  • Proven experience working in an Agile environment, SAFe certification a plus.

  • Experience with data product solutions including experience working with data lake houses in a distributed hybrid and multi-cloud ecosystem.

  • Strong understanding of various data ingestion, curation, and delivery/consumption approaches, as well as modern data operations and data security practices .

    Core Skills:

  • Strong understanding of various data ingestion, curation, and delivery/consumption approaches.

  • Experience with data governance and data science is a plus.

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills.

  • A proven executor who drives to exceed goals with outstanding organizational skills.

  • A demonstrated track record partnering with architecture, engineering, and design to ensure alignment and create a shared sense of purpose.

  • Location: 633 Third Ave, NY

  • Reporting to Senior Director, Product Management

  • Schedule: Hybrid, Wed nesday & Thursday onsite

    Pay Range: $146,100 - $241,100
