Are you an inspirational, hands-on product leader who can make a huge impact on a dynamic, fast moving business? Do you have passion for innovation? The Fashion & Fitness (F2) Core Shopping Tech team is hiring a Principal Product Manager-Tech for a confidential, customer-facing initiative with a high-visibility goal.

As a Principal PM-T, you will lead product for this initiative, including communications and status updates to senior leadership, and be responsible for ensuring the future growth and success of the program. You will work with a dedicated technology team and own the end-to-end roadmap and backlog prioritization. You will demonstrate cross-functional team and organization leadership, working closely with the Business, Engineering, UX Design, and Program Management teams to launch and grow a bar-raising customer experience. You will coordinate with teams across F2 and other orgs to drive the future growth of this new experience.

The ideal candidate have experience leading a product, and collaborating with multiple product management and technology teams. They have built products from scratch, leading them from PRFAQ to Launch. They have a track record of implementing innovative solutions in a customer-facing environment to support scale and exponential business growth. They have strong verbal and written communications, a passion for data-driven decision making, and a desire to revolutionize the retail industry.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the customers pain points that this initiative is tackling, and work backwards to define a long term vision that addresses those pain points.

  • Set and own the three-year plan for the new initiative, and the subsequent Operating (OP1) plans and goals that feed into the project vision.

  • Define the product roadmap and business requirements, and manage prioritization and trade-offs.

  • Drive the end-to-end launch plan, and set directions for the cross-functional teams working on it.

  • Influence and align teams across F2 and Amazon to support the program's goals and execution plans.

  • Provide frequent and timely goal and business status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders through written and verbal communications.

  • Define success metrics and own tracking and reporting on those metrics in F2 WBR mechanisms.

The F2 Core Shopping Tech team leverages cutting-edge technology to build products that transform the customer shopping experience. We invest in initiatives that reshape how customers discover, search, and evaluate products on Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent

  • Experience building end-to-end customer-facing products from scratch.

  • Experience owning and driving product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams to execute them.

  • Acute awareness of the e-commerce space and the evolving customer needs in response to the global macroeconomic climate.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a bias toward data-driven decisions.

  • Ability to make sound high-judgement decisions and comfortable with qualitative analyses.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and proven ability to influence without authority.

  • Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • SQL and analytics skills to quickly and effectively drive your own data analysis.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
