Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Environmental Epidemiology and Data Science

Description: The Department of Environmental Medicine and Climate Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a postdoctoral fellow in environmental epidemiology and data science. The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with Dr. Yaguang Wei on investigating how air pollution and climate change influence major health outcomes, including cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, cancer, and mortality. This opportunity will provide the experience and skills to conduct large-scale research using national datasets and advanced epidemiologic and statistical methods, and publish in peer-reviewed journals. The postdoctoral fellow will also have the opportunity to develop their own projects in Dr. Wei’s research area to foster a pathway to an independent research career. The postdoctoral fellow will also collaborate with research scientists and faculty at Mount Sinai and external academic institutions across various disciplines. This position is well-suited for candidates with strong epidemiology and quantitative background and keen interest in environmental health.

The Department of Environmental Medicine and Climate Science has been supporting a rapidly growing postdoctoral fellowship program which has doubled in faculty size within the past seven years, and has catapulted to #2 ranked program in Environmental Health NIH funding today based on NIH report data.
