Citigroup IT Quality Senior Manager in New York, New York

Citibank, N.A. seeks an IT Quality Senior Manager for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes. Test retail banking applications and system modifications to prepare for implementation. Document software and application defects using Cognos and JIRA and report defects to software or web developers. Manage initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production. Design and implement appropriate scripts and plans for an application testing strategy and approach. Resolve variable and complex issues with substantial potential impact. Identify process efficiencies in support of unit objectives. Recommend and implement new work procedures. Develop a standard set of organizational-level metrics related to cost, effort and milestones of IT Quality activities. Ensure all test artefacts meet standards laid out by testing group. Recommend most efficient test approach for project. Create and review test artefacts such as test plans, test cases, and daily status reports. Execute and guide implementation test approach by hands on functional testing in support of team. Use Agile and Scrum methodologies to manage full cycle of testing across projects. Ensure execution of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is followed before allowing releases into production. Perform functional testing on front end User Interface (UI) and back end of financial banking applications. Extract data for tests and compare with mainframe to add accounts and users. Identify issues related to database during functional testing. Manage status of defects and changes using JIRA. Position may telecommute from anywhere in the United States, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology or related field and 6 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience as a Functional Test Lead, Test Engineer, QA Lead or related position involving IT testing for the financial services industry. 6 years of experience must include: Quality Assurance techniques; Agile and Scrum methodologies; Software development and testing life-cycle; Test management, estimations, scheduling, planning, strategy, and defect management; Retail banking systems and applications; GUI, Functional Regression, Database, System and UAT testing on web based applications; Mainframe Application Testing; and Cognos and Jira.
