The position is fundamental to the administrative and operational functions of the Company and Property and requires established organizational skills, with attention to detail, solid time management, and good interpersonal skills.Job Overview: • As the key employee of the building operations interior and exterior, the Handyman is essential to the longevity of all equipment and the aesthetic nature of the property. The Handyman must perform the job duties with a view toward projecting a professional and competent image: Service to the costumer in a friendly and outgoing manner is also essential, while timelines and maintaining a clean atmosphere are key.• The position is fundamental to all mechanical functions of the community and includes working closely with the Association Manager and their maintenance team to operate the community and facilitate solutions to all types of maintenance problems within the community. Strong leadership skills, customer service skills, technical skills, and problem solving abilities are required.• The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met or encountered by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The normal working environment requires routine and frequent meeting of critical deadlines.Skills & Requirements:• Plastering, skim coats, sanding, priming and painting, caulking• Light carpentry, ability to perform sheetrock repairs• Ability to perform basic tile repairs (patching, tiling, grouting, and re-grouting)• Light plumbing, ability to snake drains, replace fixtures (faucets, showerheads), repair sink waste pipes, repair toilets (fill kits and flushometers)• Electrical knowledge, ability to replace outlets, switches, and light fixtures, and change light bulbs and ballasts• Appliance repair work, troubleshoot basic appliance issues, replace stovetop and oven igniters, etc.• Ability to operate a power washer• General boiler knowledge, ability to blow down the boiler, clean oil filters, troubleshoot basic boiler issues• Ability to safely use and work on a 6’-10’ ladder

Minimum Salary: 22 Maximum Salary: 24 Salary Unit: Hourly
