Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated intern/freelance Graphic Designer to join our dynamic marketing team in New York City. The ideal candidate will be a creative individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves updating and creating PowerPoint presentations, InDesign files, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Word documents, as well as utilizing Canva for various design projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to update and enhance PowerPoint presentations, ensuring they are visually appealing and on-brand.

  • Update InDesign files with current content, maintaining consistency and high design standards.

  • Revise and format biography pages in Word, adhering to company templates and guidelines.

  • Use Canva to create and modify graphics, social media content, and other marketing materials.

  • Work closely with team members to brainstorm and execute design ideas.

  • Ensure all design work aligns with Ankura’s brand identity and guidelines.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

*THIS ROLE HAS THE ABILITY TO BE UP TO 40 HOURS IF THE CANDIDATE PREFERS.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing, or recently completing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing or related field.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Word.

  • Experience with Canva and other online design tools.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and layout.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Based in New York City and available for on-site meetings as needed.

  • Basic video editing skills are welcomed.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current payrate for this internship is: $34/hr.
