Cut, shape, and polish rough stones; position stones against revolving saw or lapidary slitter impregnated with stone dust in order to cut and/or slit stone; remove cut stone and place in lapidary stick; select shaping wheel and apply abrasive compound; hold lapidary stick to further shape stone and grind facets; examine stone for accuracy of cut using magnifying glass; polish stones using felt or canvas-covered polishing wheel and various polishing compounds.
