Live Nation Fall 2024 Intern - Team Roc (Philanthropy) in New York, New York

Job Summary:

Title: Intern - Team Roc (In-Person, Unpaid, For College Credit)

Location: New York, NY (On-Site)

Team Roc, Roc Nation's Philanthropy division, collaborates with partners across all industries to dismantle systems of oppression and to effect positive change for those most harmed by systemic racism. Team Roc focuses on four key areas: education, emergency relief and community goodwill, health and wellness, and social and racial justice. A cover letter is MANDATORY in order to be considered for an internship opportunity.

Projects will include, but are not limited to:

  • Field calls and help manage team calendars

  • Summarize and write briefs for meetings and calls

  • Help maintain accurate and updated contact list and database

  • Provide logistical and research support for the launching and execution of client programs and internal brand initiatives

  • Provide support with fundraising initiatives and events including but not limited to coordinating mailings, liaising with vendors, assisting event team members, and maintaining event attendance records for large and small-scale events

  • Provide support with social justice initiatives including, but not limited to maintaining and updating library of case studies, drafting letters to critical stakeholders including elected officials, drafting copy for collateral including mass emails and social media posts, conducting outreach calls, and conducting research as needed

  • Assist with creating engaging digital content to post on Team Roc and client foundations’ socials

  • Running errands, sorting and organizing, packing and unpacking boxes, and moving and storing items

  • Special projects, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must be current student, enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program at an accredited college or university

  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 plus booster shot

  • Must be eligible to receive academic credit from their college or university

  • Skilled in researching, writing, intergovernmental relations, and law

  • Spanish Speaking skills or bilingual proficiency recommended

  • Computer proficiency with MS Office products and Google Suite; building database reports, presentations, managing customized email communications to small and broad networks and audiences

  • Experience managing and navigating social media communications

  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and ability to connect with various constituencies including youth, parents/guardians, professional peers, executive level managers, influencers

  • Strong ability to work independently as well as within and across teams in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment

  • Flexible with changing priorities and multi-tasking while maintaining a positive, optimistic attitude and demeanor

  • A warm and unpretentious individual with high integrity who is committed to excellence, practices good judgment, exudes credibility, shares an authentic passion for cause-driven work

This internship is available for the Fall semester. This is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 16 hours per week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.

COVID-19 vaccination series and booster shot is a mandatory requirement for this position.
