Your New Role...

CNN seeks a Director for the Internal Communications to manage and lead internal communications for CNN Worldwide.

This role will work to engage and communicate to employees across the CNN Worldwide portfolio with bureaus and staff around the world. This person will work closely across divisions and portfolios in the US and International in editorial and business areas.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Lead internal communications strategy and execution around CNN Worldwide’s portfolio, working to engage staff and support them in information sharing, development and growth

  • Partner across CNN departments and communications teams to infuse internal messaging and prioritization across all portfolios

  • Manage a small team of internal communications professionals, set clear priorities and oversee the execution of the team’s work

  • Create targeted messaging campaigns to address new programs, company transformation, change management while engaging staff at all levels

  • Continuously measure, evaluate, and modify communications plans and tactics to improve impact and effectiveness

  • Work closely with executives and talent in messaging and media training

  • Manage complex and unexpected communications challenges with professionalism

Qualifications & Experience...

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in corporate and/or internal communications, preferably at a media or technology organization

  • Experience building and managing high-performance teams across a large, matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders

  • Exceptionally skilled at partnering across portfolios with the ability to work in multiple areas of the business

  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to context and detail that effectively communicate a message

  • Must have leadership presence and the ability to advise corporate executives

  • Seasoned, strategic, hands-on, consultative, and collaborative approach

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

  • Strong presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $126,000.00 - $234,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
