Digital Designers are responsible for creating visually engaging and innovative digital, web-based and mobile experiences for a range of cross-platform digital communications. The Designer works closely with other members of the creative team, account services, clients, UX and developers to understand and execute against projects of all sizes and meet the goals and objectives.

You'll rely on customer-focused design principles to produce high-quality visuals-from concept to execution-across multiple platforms.

What you'll be doing:
  • Weaving images, iconography, typography, color, space and technology together to delight users with designs that excite and engage them.

  • Working closely with passionate brand, marketing, development, media and sales teams to bring ideas to life to help drive business.

  • Producing original designs, graphic elements, assets, and visual treatments for complex projects ranging from websites, applications, email, and advertising that adapt and flow with responsive design systems, based on limited direction.

  • Conducting ideation sessions and developing concepts in collaboration with the writer/creative team that are strategically sound, on brand, and pleasing to our users.

  • Partnering with front-end developers to create HTML and CSS-friendly designs.

  • Communicating effectively in a cross-functional product development team and presenting ideas and designs effectively.

  • Presenting a visually engaging user interface with an effective hierarchy of information so information is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find.

  • Providing design support for aligned client group(s), as well as supporting projects from other clients as demand and scheduling requires.

  • Working in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment.

  • Being accountable for producing the creative assets, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail to meet or exceed overall design objectives.

  • Ensuring brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions.

  • Working to improve the team's overall performance by embracing agile methodology, functioning as an integral part of an agile team.

You'll need to have:
  • A Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • A Bachelor's degree preferably in design with a digital emphasis, human-computer interaction, or a related field.

  • A strong understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and emerging Gen AI technologies.

  • Three or more years of professional level creative/digital design experience within an external or in-house agency.

  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating solid digital design skills and innovative interactive work.

  • Experience designing outstanding digital products for B2B and B2C environments.

  • Excellent CSS and HTML skills; understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS; working knowledge of ActionScript, Adobe Suite.

  • Ability to work with email platforms, including integrating live text, code snippets and modular email design.

  • Proven ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.

  • Demonstrated expertise of design techniques, skills, tools and procedures for the applicable media.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships.

  • Willingness to actively learn new techniques to be more proficient in their design skills.

  • Self-motivated attitude to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.

  • Writes and speaks effectively and is able to clearly communicate with peers, leadership team and clients.

  • Willingness to work with highly technical teams.

  • Willingness to states opinions clearly and can verbally describe visual concepts.

  • Willingness to provides open and honest feedback to supporting team members with the goal of striving to be the best.

  • Respectfully seeks direction from the Digital Design Manager or creative lead to help clarify strategies or fill information gaps.

  • Eagerness to share designs with the team early in the process to gain alignment on execution strategy.

  • Willingness to leverage data and trends in the competitive landscape to inform the design process.

  • Pragmatic approach with creative executions always keeping eye on the objectives of the assignment.

  • Willingness to listens and incorporate others viewpoints into the design process.

  • Willingess to supports and demonstrate corporate brand knowledge.

  • Willingness to be an ambassador for the marketing department objectives and point of view on corporate brand and its visual identity.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.

  • Willingness to executes design requests with accuracy, producing zero errors in work (all client edits are implemented correctly, spell check run, specs adhered to).

Where you'll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $61,000.00 and $114,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
