We are seeking a Designer to join the Design Team in our New York office. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling a high volume of work and solving a wide range of design problems. The ideal candidate will have experience working in real estate and possess a sophisticated and contemporary aesthetic as well as strong information design and typography skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and advance the Alexandria brand across a variety of digital and print mediums.

  • Consistently produce high-quality deliverables from concept through delivery in line with brand guidelines.

  • Update and maintain regional presentations.

  • Assist in developing and completing graphic and design requirements related to brochures, pitches, ads, invitations, posters, event materials, Keynote presentations, logo development, presentation graphics, signage, promotional giveaways, employee marketing communications, and special events.

  • Collect and track information for all regional marketing material updates (i.e. presentation decks, event materials, tear sheets, etc.).

  • Coordinate and maintain momentum on projects and events (i.e. track progress on projects, schedule meetings/conference calls, maintain contacts with vendors, non-profits, collaborators, etc.).

  • Assist in writing, editing, and proofing marketing content.

  • Manage external resources for the successful execution of various marketing projects.

  • Effectively communicate print specifications to print vendors.

  • Execute internal production needs and ensure that deadlines are met according to project schedules.

  • Demonstrate outstanding design, production, and project management capabilities.

  • Assist in maintaining and organizing the brand content library.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, specialized in graphic design, or related field preferred.

  • At least 3 years of proven, practical experience; design experience in commercial real estate or related industry a plus.

  • Experience conceptualizing and designing complex information graphics.

  • Strong typography skills.

  • Strong attention to detail. Copyediting and proofreading experience a plus.

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint.

  • Professional experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator required; After Effects and Premiere a plus.

  • Experience with interactive design, including social media, a plus.

  • Thorough understanding of the design workflow, from concept through production.

  • Ability to change focus efficiently and effectively in a dynamic, flexible environment.

  • Ability to work against and meet deadlines across multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with Mac platform.

  • Ability to receive and implement art direction and constructive feedback.

  • Ability to work independently and be a proactive, resourceful self-starter; initiative and follow-through critical.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, including resource and time management and project prioritization.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing relevant work samples; presentation samples highly encouraged.

  • The expected base salary range for this position is US$100,000 – 125,000 annually, plus annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the consideration of many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, the individual’s knowledge, experience, education, qualifications, skills, and job location, as well as the Company’s compensation practices.
